Saturday 24.03.2018 – Nose Games for Indoor and Outdoor (1/2 day)

NoseyDogDogs have an awesome nose, they see their world trough the scents around them. They are capable of detecting, following and distinguishing different scents in a way that is hard for us to even imagine. This heightened sense can become a source of fun and activities for both indoors and outdoors, that channel the dog’s energy, help tire them down mentally, and make them feel content in their daily life. These activities are also a precious ally to those who are looking for a way to channel their dog’s hunting instincts.

Come spend the afternoon with us and learn how you can set up and train fun and easy nose games: searching for an object (a toy for example), Following a trail, distinguishing and searching for a specific scent. Join the fun and turn your furries into little Sherlocks :)

This workshop is open to dogs of all ages inasmuch as they can manage relative proximity to other dogs as we will be indoors.

Sunday 06.05.2018 – Full on Recall! A recall workshop

2-RunrunrunScents, birds, dogs, humans… so many things can attract and distract our doggies and make coming back to us difficult. How can we win this “competition” against the environment? How do we get his head out of the bushes? How can we know when to trust him and when to put him back on leash?

During this workshop we will look ant the theory, but mostly at very practical ways you can make your recall more reliable in real-life, day-to-day situation, through games, exercises, and a better understanding on how your dog “ticks”.

During this workshop we will work on the connection between you and your dog, through various exercises and challenges we will learn to recognize when the dog is stressed and how to react appropriately to that stress, knowing when and how to bring support to help the dog overcome a situation, and how to break down an exercise into steps that are both achievable and positive for the team.
