Together with Great Anims

Winter is coming soon with its moody weather forecast and its shortened days. Yet even those dogs who hate the cold and the rain need sufficient exercise to feel good and be able to relax at home. Did you know that mental exercise is a great way to satisfy your pup’s activity needs when walks need to be shortened for one reason or another (weather, injury, stress when walking downtown, temporary planning restrictions, etc.)?
Come and discover different activities that you can set up easily at home and go back with lots of ideas and two mental games you’ll have built yourself (materials provided)!

This workshop is open to dogs of all ages inasmuch as they can manage relative proximity to other dogs as we will be indoors.

Past seminars

20.09.2015 – Trick & Treat! Trick-dogging workshop

Trick-dogging was initially developed in the context animal castings for advertisement and movies. It combines funny tricks and some behaviors from service dog in a relaxed atmosphere, where the dogs just get to put on their show: from the famous “shoot the dog” to unzipping and taking off their owner’s jacket, opening cupboards or putting away their own toys, Tricking is a very fun way to learn to better know one’s dog, strengthen the relationship and learn to work with them as a team, without ever getting the feeling of being “at work”.

This one-day workshop is an opportunity to learn or fine-tune a few “tricks”, and to apply “shaping” and other methods that can be used to construct a behavior.

12.07.2015 – Team up! Creating a team dynamic for daily challenges

A good team is a team that takes advantage of the strenghts and creativity of all its members in an atmosphere of mutual respect and cooperation that overcomes individual weaknesses, creating a synergy that brings benefits to each one and allows the team to reach its common objectives.

Our human-K9 teams should thus be built by learning to understand and recognize the abilities as well as the difficulties of our teammates, by learning to observe them and notice when they are at ease, when they face a challenge, and at what point they are reaching their limits.

28.06.2015 – Full on Recall! Recall workshop

Scents, birds, dogs, humans… so many things can attract and distract our doggies and make coming back to us difficult. How can we win this “competition” agains the environment? How do we get his head out of the bushes? How can we know when to trust him and when to put him back on leash?

6-7.06.2015 – 2-Day Trick-Dogging Workshop

Trick-dogging was initially developed in the context animal castings for advertisement and movies. 26.04/30.08.2015 – Accompanying the puppy’s development by encouraging his active participation and his autonomy

Continuous/further training for Pro Junghung trainers.
Workshop on the needs of puppies from 2-5 months old mixing theory and practical exercises, lead by the concept of empowerement, antonym of acquired helplessness. 31.08.2014 – Team up!

During this workshop we wil work on the connection between you and your dog, through various exercises and challenges we will learn to recognize when the dog is stressed and how to react appropriately to that stress, knowing when and how to bring support to help the dog overcome a situation, and how to break down an exercise into steps that are both atteignable and positive for the team.

22.06.2014 – Click! An introduction

If you’ve heard of the clicker and wonder what it is and how it could really work, whether it is efficient, how it should be used, whether it is something for you – then this workshop is for you!
After the success of this seminar last year, we invite you to come spend the day with us as well to discover this tool that some of the greatest trainers use to prepare animals for competition as well as for movie work! Come learn the basics to benefit from it in your every day training, to make life easier or to spice it up :)

15.06.2013 – Click! an introduction

We had a wonderful day of fun discovery and learning. Each one was able to get acquainted with the clicker and apply the theory into exercises, but more importantly go home with very practical tools to construct their own exercices for their individual daily needs :)

Une journée ensoleillée et réussie :)

a sunny and studious workshop :)
